• Mon 4th Aug 2025 : Refresher training 10am-12pm, Safeguarding 12:15
• Wed 3rd Sept 2025: Refresher training 10am-12pm, Safeguarding 12:15
• Mon 6th Oct 2025: Refresher training 10am-12pm, Safeguarding 12:15
• Wed 5th Nov 2025: Refresher training 10am-12pm, Safeguarding 12:15
• Mon 8th Dec 2025: Refresher training 10am-12pm, Safeguarding 12:15

Training access

Training for volunteers can be accessed in a number of ways:

• • Getting started – Induction and refresher training takes place in person, face to face every month and includes a warehouse tour and presentation. From September 2024 this now includes the Manadatory Safeguarding Awareness Training.  We encourage volunteers to book and attend refresher training as soon as possible not only to receive important training and updates for your role but also to meet other volunteers from other centres. To book, please contact your recruitment lead direct 07529 224995 or your centre manager.
  • For new volunteers, your first few sessions at a foodbank centre will be on the job training, shadowing/buddying.
