Training at Chesterfield Foodbank
Training for volunteers comes in two types
- Mandatory (in person)
- Optional (3 different ways to access)
Mandatory training (in person)
For new volunteers, your induction training will take place at the warehouse, in person, and you will be given a tour of the warehouse. Safeguarding training is included. Your first few sessions at a foodbank centre will be on the job training, shadowing/buddying. A refresher will be mandatory after 3 years.
