places are available on the upcoming Tackling gambling-related harm training course – This training focusses on the state of play when it comes to gambling in the UK, its prevalence, harms and risk factors. It covers identifying those at risk, how to intervene appropriately in the short-term, and formulating action plans to ensure long-term recovery.

The course is free for staff and volunteers from statutory, community or voluntary sector organisations, providing that a core part of the individual’s role is working with Derbyshire residents.

The training content has been commissioned by our public health department and designed in conjunction with our adult education team, who will be delivering the course.

The Royal Society for Public Health has supported us to develop and evaluate our training strategy, to make sure it meets the level 2 training criteria.
