Signposting Toolkit
When people visit our centres, we give more than just food; we also signpost to other local support and can make referrals.
These are available when you attend our foodbank centres with a foodbank voucher. Signposting Toolkit Checklist April 2025
- Our Signposting Booklet – A booklet with lots of contact details for other local organisations that can help with different issues.
- Gussies Membership Referrals – Gussies is a Social Supermarket / Community Pantry. Normal Membership fee £5. Normal price £6 per shop – you receive £40-£60 of shopping per visit.
- RSPCA vet vouchers – up to £100 off a vet bill through partner RSPCA Pet Foodbank Partnership.
- Alternative Local Food Provision – these are other local providers of free food and drink, tea and toast, soup kitchen, or other food parcel services. Some are free, some have a suggested donation, or subsidised price. List here
- Agency Leaflets – Leaflets are available in our centres and online here
- 2025 Chesterfield Guide to Community Activities – designed to help you explore and engage with the diverse activities, facilities, and services available throughout Chesterfield. Whether you’re seeking

- Guest Agency Rota We invite local organisations to join us at our centres on a rota style basis to give you face-to-face support for various issues. See the rota here
A Citizens Advice Financial Inclusion Advisor is at each daytime foodbank session to refer you for Specialist Advice on Benefits, Housing and Debt. Please note, our FI Advisors are not there to issue foodbank vouchers.
You will need a foodbank voucher to attend the foodbank. Please call your referral Agency or the Help Through Hardship Helpline to get a voucher. 0808 208 2138 Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. Closed public holidays.
