National Food Bank Day: Make Your Gift Go Twice as Far

Friday 4 September is National Food Bank Day, a day to recognise the vital work of food banks and the communities that make it possible.

Here at Chesterfield Foodbank, we support local people and families facing financial hardship and crisis. We provide emergency food and essentials, offer a compassionate, listening ear, and practical support to onward advice and support.

With demand for our services remaining high and the cost of food, premises and essential services continuing to rise, every donation makes a real difference.

Right now, your kindness could make twice the impact through our special Bridge the Gap Crowdfunder campaign, supported by the Aviva Community Fund.

Eligible donations made through our Crowdfunder page will be matched by Aviva, doubling gifts of up to £250 while match funding remains available. This means a £10 donation could become £20, £25 could become £50, and £100 could become £200—at no extra cost to you.

The campaign will help Chesterfield Foodbank purchase essential food and toiletries and meet the cost of running our food bank centres, ensuring we can continue to be there for local people when they need us most.

This National Food Bank Day, please consider making a donation and helping your gift go twice as far.

Donate through our Crowdfunder today and help us bridge the gap for people across Chesterfield.
