Message from Councillor Steve Lismore:
Trustees sought for Touchstone Community Development charity/company limited by guarantee that runs Treasures Neighbourhood Nursery on Staveley High Street
As you may know, I am a Trustee and Director of the Touchstone Community Development charity/company limited by guarantee that runs Treasures Neighbourhood Nursery on Staveley High Street. I have been associated with the organisation for many years, previously serving as Chair of the Board, and before that CEO.
We are currently in the process of redeveloping 32 High Street as a new centre which will allow us to expand from 48 to 70 child places and offer a much better experience to children and local residents. This should be ready later this year.
We are now looking for more Trustees to add to the existing 4 of us. We are particularly seeking people from the local community and people with financial, project management and community development skills and experience. They do not need to have specific experience with childcare, we have professionals covering that area.
I’m contacting you to ask if you can suggest any names.
I would be very happy to speak informally to you and anyone who might be interested about what this might entail.
Best wishes, Steve
