Fresh Futures Care Packs

How to get a foodbank voucher

Thanks to funding from Chesterfield Borough Council, we are now able to provide Fresh Futures Care Packs, while stocks last.  Clients exchange their foodbank voucher for a food parcel and receive the Care Pack as required.

About this project

In line with “Making Chesterfield a thriving borough,” and “Improving quality of life for local people” we have introduced a new Foodbank initiative, thanks to support from the Community Grants Fund. Our goal is to extend beyond emergency food provisions to include a Care Pack to enhance personal well-being linked to Mental Health. The new project will complement our existing food provision project while recognizing the broader spectrum of well-being. Care packs, funded by the grant, will contain personal hygiene and toiletry products (beyond what we normally can provide), aiming to help clients maintain personal grooming, uplift spirits, and increase self-confidence and self-esteem. Collaborations with mental health organizations ensure up-to-date support and provision sharing. Aligned with the Community Grants Fund’s objectives, our project not only tackles immediate needs but also promotes personal well-being, bolstering local pride and community resilience. We emphasize the link between personal care and mental health, providing tools for self-care beyond necessities. Grant funds have allowed us to curate care packages catering inclusively to various age groups and genders. We continue to collaborate with local services to enhance our project’s impact, offering signposting to additional support systems. To encourage community engagement, we are conducting our awareness campaigns through multiple channels, including our website, newsletter, printed posters, and social media. In summary, our new project offers more than just food aid—it embraces a holistic approach to personal well-being and mental health. We anticipate a positive impact on our community and are eagerly embracing the opportunity to implement this initiative with the support of the Community Grants Fund.
