Conversation skills

I wanted to share an upcoming Core Quality Conversations Skills training offer, which some of you may find useful.

While this isn’t specific to financial inclusion, it provides a really helpful opportunity to refresh core communication skills that support more open and supportive conversations across services and communities.

Every interaction matters. Whether we’re supporting residents, colleagues, or communities, the way we communicate can make a real difference.

This training is designed to give practical tools you can use straight away, including;

improving listening and questioning skills
supporting people to make positive changes
building trust and stronger relationships

This interactive 3 hour session gives you the chance to practice skills in a safe, supportive environment and learn techniques you can apply in any role.

Given the focus in Chesterfield around starting the conversation and reducing stigma so people feel more able to talk about money, this may be a useful free opportunity for partners to build confidence in having those kinds of conversations.
