As we reflect on the bountiful months of September and October, we are overwhelmed with gratitude for the incredible support and generosity you and many others have shown to our foodbank. Contributions received during this harvest season have made a profound impact on our community, and we want to express our heartfelt thanks on behalf of Chesterfield Foodbank and the 1811 individuals and families (including 527 children) whose lives you’ve touched.
During this period, we received a remarkable total of 8749Kg in donations – of which yours is a valuable and precious contribution. Your collective effort in providing these essential food items has made it possible for us to assist those in our community who are most in need.
Your contributions will provide nourishing meals and vital supplies that will sustain individuals and families through challenging times. 973 emergency parcels were distributed throughout September and October, and thanks to your help we will be able to continue this into the winter months ahead.
We would also like to extend our appreciation to individuals, groups and organizations that went above and beyond to support our cause. Your extra efforts in organizing special events, such as collection events, presentations, harvest festivals, school assemblies, and church services, not only raised awareness about the work of our foodbank but also brought our community together with a shared purpose.
It is heartening to see how our community has rallied together during this harvest season to support those who are facing adversity.
